Whale Watching
From June to October, the huge but friendly Humpback Whales pass through the coastal waters around the Central Coast on their annual migration.
In winter they head north from the feeding grounds in the Southern Ocean, to the warm tropical Pacific Ocean, where they mate and return south with their calves in the spring.
Admire these huge ocean mammals as they leap and roll
in mid-air.
Observe water spouting from their blowholes, tail lobbing, flipper slapping and calves frolicking at their mothers’ side.
Humpback whales are an endangered mammal species and are protected internationally.
